Time lapse is a term in video language that indicates a jump in time. Such an action can be perceived, for example, when a long-lasting event is seen in a condensed time, with small discontinuities within the sequence.

The video " Timelapse" shows an hourglass, one of the oldest time meters, sectioned in half, with the two parts occupying the screen symmetrically. In the upper part of the object the sand passes and then returns, while in the lower part, the sand flows continuously, thus generating a time lapse in the form of time.
