“The work materializes the image of a whirlpool where three cigarette butts spin towards a central hole, ready to be inhaled by it, in the golden whirlwind. Made of polished patinated bronze and velvet, the work immortalizes in metal a fleeting image, a transitory state. The work aims to highlight the contradiction between the traditional historical material, with a noble appearance, and the transitory instability presented by the residual image of cigarettes.”
