The idea behind the work is a kind of engraving by the meter, a continuous print, with its supposed "flaws" and "noises". Hence the proposal to form a polyptych with slight variations. The composition and ordering of the colors - blue, magenta and yellow - vary from edition to edition, but the language and structure remain the same.

Rafael Alonso

b. 1983, Niterói (RJ), Brazil | Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Brazil.

Objects, installations and paintings make up Rafael Alonso's production universe. The artist holds a degree and a master's degree from the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where he was a professor between 2009 and 2010. He has exhibited regularly since 2003, having participated in prestigious public notices and salons in the country, as well as important shows at institutions such as Paço Imperial, Paço das Artes, Centro Cultural São Paulo, Funarte do Rio de Janeiro, Centro Cultural Banco do Nordeste (Fortaleza), and Itaú Cultural.
