Américas Amigas is a non-governmental organization and human rights organization that fights to reduce breast cancer mortality in Brazil, mainly benefiting the low-income population. The association's actions include: donation of mammogram machines, donation of mammogram exams, training and qualification of professionals in the area of breast cancer, and awareness and information campaigns about the disease. From 2009 to the present, the NGO Américas Amigas has donated 23 mammogram machines, benefiting 13 Brazilian states. Learn more here .
"I propose developing a 'necklace' that sits at the height of the neck, in the region close to the breasts and heart, and that can be worn by women of all ages. A simple, delicate piece that holds within itself the desire to 'overflow' with love, strength and courage. In recent years I have been thinking and working with Water as an element of transformation and renewal. Water is always in movement, it cleanses, heals, invigorates, nourishes, and is used in all religions as a rite of passage. I decided to translate the graphic representation of the Sea into the language of metal in the form of a jewel. By wearing a necklace with the image of the sea, we can remember the inner strength that every woman has within her, a strength that generates, nourishes, cares for, transforms and overflows."

Biography
Sandra Cinto
Throughout her career, Sandra Cinto has developed a rich vocabulary of symbols and lines to create lyrical landscapes and narratives between fantasy and reality. Using drawing as a starting point, the artist often dialogues with architecture, evoking fantastic landscapes that serve as a metaphor for the human odyssey and also pushing the limits and possibilities of drawing. The artist also works with sculpture, installation, photography and engraving.
Sandra, who holds a degree in fine arts, began her career in 1990, while still a student, producing representations of the sky and clouds inspired by the surrealist René Magritte. Her unique style merges visual power and poetic aesthetics to create compositions that allude to mythology. Her artistic practice is characterized by delicate works, in which she usually draws with a pen on a large, usually blue, background. In 1998, the artist participated in the 24th São Paulo Biennial, where the canvas was not a conventional support, but rather the wall of the building itself.
His works are part of important collections, such as: Fundación ARCO (Madrid); Instituto Inhotim (Brumadinho); Institute of Contemporary Art (Boston); Museum of Modern Art (New York); among others.
