"Diagonal" consists of a floating magnetized volcanic stone that is supported by the force of attraction of a metal support.

Defying gravity and traditional spatial references, the artist continues his exploration of the relationships between materials and overlapping realities.

Each edition uses a unique stone.

Romain Dumesnil - Carbono Galeria

Romain Dumesnil

b. 1989, France | Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Brazil.

Romain Dumesnil graduated from Sciences Po (France) and EAV Parque Lage, where he was part of the PAC II program under the direction of Lisette Lagnado in 2015.

In Brazil, he has presented solo exhibitions at the EMCB space (RJ 2015, 2016) and participated, among others, in the group exhibitions "Abre Alas 13" at Galeria A Gentil Carioca, RJ 2017; "41st Art Salon of Ribeirão Preto", SP, 2016; "66th Paraná Salon", PR, 2017; "35th Art Salon Para" curated by Marcelo Campos and Paulo Herkenhoff, PA, 2016; "Art Rio Fair 2016" with Galeria Bernard Ceysson Paris, RJ, 2016); "Ash Wednesday" curated by Luisa Duarte at Parque Lage, RJ, 2015; "Spring in the Teeth" curated by Bernardo Mosqueira and Ulisses Carrilho at Galeria Lume, SP, 2016; "Case or Chance" at Central Galeria, SP, 2016; "Unanimous Night" curated by Bernardo José de Souza at Bolsa de Arte Gallery, SP, 2016; "Cultivating the desert like an orchard in reverse" at the UFF Arts Center, RJ 2016.
