Julio Le Parc’s “Color Sequence” is a vibrant example of the use of color and form to create an effect of movement and transition. Composed of lines of uniform circles that gradually change color, the piece explores a chromatic sequence, ranging from warm tones (yellows and reds) to cool ones (blues and greens). This progression creates a dynamic, almost hypnotic visual effect, where the viewer’s eyes are guided by the smooth transitions between colors. The geometric and repetitive pattern, characteristic of Le Parc’s style, reveals his exploration of the perception and interaction between light and color, which are central elements in Op Art and Kinetic Art, movements of which the artist is a leading exponent.
The series consists of 4 prints in different colors, sold individually.

Biography
Julio Le Parc
One of the founders of the Kinetic Art movement and GRAV (Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuel), Julio Le Parc (1928) brings to his work elements that go beyond the search for movement and reflect an interest in the viewer's visual perception.
The artist works with a wide range of techniques, from painting on canvas, to engraving and mobiles, to creating large installations with mirrors, motors and other elements. Le Parc represented Argentina at the Venice Biennale in 1966, winning the Grand Prix Internationale de la Painting as an individual artist.
Le Parc has lived and worked in France since the 1960s. In 2013, he had a major retrospective of his work at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. In celebration of his 90th birthday, he was honored in Buenos Aires with two major exhibitions at the CCK and the Museum of Fine Arts, between 2018 and 2019. His works are part of collections such as MoMA, New York; MAM, São Paulo; Tate, London; Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, among others.
