"Le Parc's kinetic experiments brought a new sensitivity to the field of art through the use of movement as a constitutive element of the work of art. The vibrations on the surface of the work Formes en Contorsions enter into optical interaction, an illusory game of black and white vertical lines in a zigzag pattern, which create a kind of system that keeps visual encounters and disagreements in suspense. The geometric ribbons that appear and disappear in a visual labyrinth alter our understanding of perceptive phenomena and seem to be infinitely recreated."
