In this work, Camille Kachani creates elements that nature would not provide, but that exist potentially in it: wood. Even though it is artificial, the reference to wood growing inside a book, sprouting from it and feeding on its words, represents an emotional charge.
For the artist, it is as if there is something similar between nature and the act of reading – a way of feeding on words, needing pages to be able to grow. "Hunger for knowledge", or "Cognitio enim fames" in Latin, can be seen as a manifestation of the act of giving life to inanimate objects.
